A transformation is underway in Central New York
Enitiative, funded by a $3 million, 5-year grant from the Kauffman Foundation, is a collaborative partnership that provides contacts, resources, and funding support for entrepreneurial projects, while uniting faculty and students of local academic institutions and members of the community. Enitiative’s goal is to broaden the reach of entrepreneurial education and innovation in the Central New York region.
Projects have included the creation of local businesses, the transformation of neighborhoods, and the revitalization of local arts and culture. If you have a project idea that you would like to present for funding consideration, click on the Apply For Grant section for contact information and other helpful links.
The Enitiative program builds on Syracuse University’s vision of Scholarship in Action and the achievements of the University’s Martin J. Whitman School of Management’s top-ranked Entrepreneurship and Emerging Enterprises (EEE) program, whose mission is the pursuit of entrepreneurial excellence in teaching, research, and outreach to local, regional, and national ventures.
